Breaking News: Naira Marley Detained Amid Investigation into Mohbad's Mysterious Death

The Lagos State Police Command announced that they have apprehended the singer known as Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, as part of their investigation into the death of the late singer Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba. Mohbad passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the next day.

On September 21, the police conducted an autopsy on his exhumed corpse and are awaiting the results.

On September 18, a special 13-man investigation team was established by the Lagos Police Command to look into Mohbad's death. Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Records, had expressed his willingness to return to Nigeria for questioning if his safety could be guaranteed by the police.

Confirming Naira Marley's detention, Police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin stated, "Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigative purposes."
